A GOOD TIME was had by all July 23/14. Theresa Betty Amero’s son Richard Amero better known as Rickey was home from Winnipeg for over 2 weeks. I was in the hospital from June 16th till July 18th so he came there to see me. Rickey stayed at my place so I was home for over a week before he went back. So glad to see him. Two days before leaving, I put on a party down in our sitting room & Rickey played & sang for them. I sang one with him too. Everyone sure enjoyed his playing. The room was full & what a good lunch we had. My sister Linda made a lot of S.W. & snow balls so good & many made lots of S.W. & a big strawberrie short cake, sure was good. Am not very well but I can still put on the best parties, everyone had a great time. I was so happy to see Hazel come. Thanks, God Bless you all for coming - my friend Gordon was there. Hope I can be here next year. I can listen to Rickey play all night, he’s good at it, it’s too bad he’s so far away. I sure miss him when he goes home. My place is a lonesome one till next year when he comes again. The good Lord may keep me till then, if not it has sure been a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who came, my sisters - Linda, Judy & brother Keith. Thanks to the ones from the Manor here. They loved Rickey’s playing & singing. We all hated to see the evening come to an end.
